How it works

1

Browse to your image or drag and drop it onto the page.

2

The editor opens with the Crop tool preselected under the Adjust tab.

3

Drag the corner handles to frame the area you want, or pick a preset aspect ratio for an exact shape.

4

Reposition the image inside the crop box until the composition looks right.

5

Click Save and the cropped image downloads to your device.

About this tool

Cropping is the fastest way to improve a photo: cut away clutter at the edges, recenter the subject, or trim a screenshot down to just the part that matters. This page opens your image directly in the Crop tool of a full browser-based editor, so you can get the framing right in seconds.

People reach for this tool to square off a profile picture, cut a widescreen thumbnail from a tall phone photo, or isolate one chart from a full-page screenshot before pasting it into a document. Because the whole editor is available, you can also rotate or straighten the image in the same session before saving.

100% private

Cropping happens entirely on your screen, powered by code running in your browser. The photo is never uploaded, logged, or stored anywhere except your own device.

Frequently asked questions

Can I crop to an exact aspect ratio like 1:1 or 16:9?

Yes. The Crop tool offers preset ratios so you can lock the frame to a square, widescreen, or other common shape. You can also crop freely by dragging the handles without any ratio constraint.

Does cropping reduce the quality of my image?

The pixels you keep are not degraded by the crop itself; you are simply discarding the area outside the frame. The saved file is re-encoded on export, but the visible region retains its original detail.

Can I undo a crop before saving?

Yes. Until you click Save, everything is editable, so you can adjust the crop box, reset it, or step back and try a different framing. Your original file on disk is never modified either way.
